Aubert’s career in winemaking began in 1989 at Peter Michael under the tutelage of Helen Turley, which led to his time at Colgin, Sloan, Futo and then Bryant Family, before founding Aubert Wines with his wife Teresa in 1999. Mark Aubert’s Tasting Notes:

The 2022 UV-SL Pinot Noir is intense and mineral, with potent aromas of wild blueberry, ube plum, graphite, and turned earth. Both dynamic and beguilingly complex, the wine continues to develop in waves of blood orange, briar, and tobacco. Wafts of sweet chapparal begin to emerge, indicative of the inimitable features of the wild, coastal terroir neighboring the vineyard. The wine is driving and precise across the palate, with a firm backbone of tannin and lingering acidity that lend the wine its distinct focus and grace for a long future in the cellar.
