For over 40 years, the Chappellet family has crafted exceptional wines from Napa Valley’s renowned Pritchard Hill slopes. Pioneers of high-elevation hillside planting, Chappellet Vineyard remains one of the last great family-owned Napa wineries, leaving a lasting impact on winemaking. With a legacy as a top Cabernet Sauvignon producer, Chappellet’s connection to Pritchard Hill began in the late 1960s. Following advice from André Tchelistcheff, they settled on the rocky eastern slopes, building their home, winery, and vineyards. Since 1967, Chappellet champions powerful mountain grape wines, elevating Pritchard Hill’s reputation. The focus remains on crafting age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignons that capture the intensity and finesse of the region’s fruit.
