Comte Lafond Sancerre 2024

Comte Lafond Sancerre, produced by Domaine de Ladoucette in the Loire Valley, is a benchmark expression of 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the limestone- and flint-rich hillsides surrounding Bué, Chavignol, Chaudoux, and Verdigny. The grapes, grown on 25- to 35-year-old vines, are hand-harvested and gently pressed using a gravity-flow, three-level winery system designed to preserve delicacy and freshness. Fermentation takes place slowly in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by brief aging on the lees for added texture and complexity.
