Prüm’s Wehlener Sonnenuhr Rieslings come from one of the Mosel’s most iconic south- to southwest-facing slate slopes, a precipitous VDP.GROSSE LAGE® of pure weathered Devonian slate that delivers filigreed structure, stone-fruit finesse, and remarkable longevity. The estate bottles a classic Kabinett from this site—light in body, high in natural acidity, and delicately sweet/off-dry—alongside richer Auslesen. Prüm’s “Goldkapsel” (gold capsule) is a traditional, in-house marker indicating a higher-selection, more concentrated Auslese; it is not used for Kabinett, which explains why “Kabinett Goldkapsel” references are effectively absent while “Auslese Goldkapsel” is widely documented
