QUERCIABELLA CAMARTINA 2016

Querciabella is a Tuscan wine estate that makes wines in both the Chianti Classico zone and in the Maremma Toscana. The winery has received high critical acclaim for its wines which regularly score highly among critics and competitions. Indeed, Antonio Galloni of Vinous Media has said that, “Querciabella stands head and shoulders above any other estate in Chianti Classico”. Five wines are produced from these properties: Batàr, a barrel-fermented and -matured blend of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay; Camartina, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese; the Palafreno Merlot, and Querciabella, a Chianti Classico from 100 percent Sangiovese, which may be labeled as a riserva in some vintages.
