The debut release of Schrader WH Cabernet Sauvignon adds dimension to their portfolio as the grapes are grown on a hillside in the upper end of the acclaimed Stags Leap District. The glossy eggplant hue hints at the complement of red, blue, and purple fruit characters present in the wine. Blackberry, dark currant, red cherry, and briar berry aromas combine with pleasing threads of baking spice, black licorice, floral petal, and soft, dusty earth tones. This stunning wine shows the tremendous power of a classic Napa Valley Cabernet handsomely paired with an ample fruit core, firm structure, integrated tannins, and a polished, long-lasting finish.

Fred Schrader founded Schrader Cellars in 1998 with the aim of crafting exceptional Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Renowned for superior vineyard sourcing and the talent of winemaker Thomas Brown, Schrader has earned twenty-seven 100-point scores from prestigious critics including The Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Jeb Dunnuck, and James Suckling.

For over a decade, Schrader Cellars has produced benchmark Cabernet Sauvignon from prestigious Napa Valley vineyards, notably Beckstoffer To Kalon, Beckstoffer Georges III, Beckstoffer Las Piedras, and the newly added Monastery Block To Kalon Vineyard. Thomas Brown, originally from South Carolina, found his winemaking calling after exploring French, Italian, and Northern Californian wine regions. After meeting Fred Schrader in 2000, Brown, despite having not yet made Cabernet Sauvignon, was hired for his passion, natural ability, and dedication. Together, they’ve created a portfolio of uncompromising Cabernet Sauvignons, showcasing Thomas’s visionary winemaking talent.
