TERROIR AL LIMIT LES MANYES 2019

In 2000, Eben Sadie and Dominik Huber met at Mas Martinet, forming a fast friendship. They bought fruit and started crafting their first vintage, Dits del Terra, in 2001. After starting at Cims de Porrera, they moved to a tiny Torroja del Priorat cellar in 2003. Over the years, they expanded their wine offerings. Terroir al Limit evolved its understanding of the Priorat region’s potential. Village wines include Torroja and Terra de Cuques, while Dits del Terra and Arbossar are the Premier Crus, and Manyes and Tosses are the Grand Crus. Dominik took on full-time vineyard responsibilities in 2007, leading to healthier fruit.

They transitioned to a more gentle winemaking approach, emphasizing whole clusters and avoiding aggressive techniques. Concrete tanks, upright Stockinger foudres, and 500L neutral French oak demi-muids replaced traditional barriques. Dominik’s rigorous farming prioritizes soil health and moisture retention. Eben Sadie departed in 2011, leaving Terroir al Limit to Dominik’s capable hands. Each vintage honors their original vision for elegant and expressive Priorat wines.
